WHEN NEW DARKNESS COMES
From an early age, I've been fascinated and inspired by the darker lifestyle that exists among us. I always marveled at special fairs and events, where everyone is amiable, unique, and most importantly, true to themselves. There were beautiful items and many handmade products. Years later, with a large, close-knit family ranging from 15 years old to a newborn, I found myself in a new chapter of darkness - “Our new darkness”.
The struggle to find suitable products for our newborn sparked the idea for "When New Darkness Comes".
Dark-colored, handmade products for the littlest ones are scarce. This motivated me to establish a high-quality line of dark-colored, handmade baby products, inspired by the past and the positive feelings evoked by the dark lifestyle.
We first started wondering what’s essential for a newborn, the answer was a cuddle blanket/doll. Our handmade cuddle doll must be fitting the dark style and must have a perfect name. The name what came to our mind was “creature”. Dark and spooky. “creature for the night”. Our newborn takes his creature everywhere and keeps him save. That’s were our journey started for when new darkness comes.
All our products from WNDC are handmade in the Netherlands. We utilize all the fabrics we purchase to their maximum potential. Nothing is wasted from the leftovers. Our fabrics are of high quality, thoroughly checked and certified. All fabrics are certified by the Oeko-tex® 100 standard.
